Also referred to as floor-box, floor-distributor, socket-distributor, floor-tank, floor-socket, or underfloor-tank, with electrical sockets, distributors, antenna and media sockets, compressed air connections, water and sewage connections as underfloor distributors for indoor areas such as residential buildings, canteens, shopping malls or industry, as well as for outdoor areas such as gardens, marketplaces, railway stations or airports. Standard dimensions are from 300 x 300 x 120mm to 600 x 600 x 600mm. The lid is made from 15mm high grade steel and are watertight to grade IP68 (complete continuous submersion). Surcharge (superimposed load) is structurally factored up to 40 tonnes. All our floor tanks are individually manufactured to the tiling and/or flooring thickness of each construction project. Assembly with StarConnex modules offers interchangeability and the option to combine required fittings of all industry sectors and manufacturers with each other.
We offer this type of construction under the designation floor tank or stainless steel floor tank, generally also known as underfloor tank, underfloor distributor, floor socket, or floor electrics. Due to the possibility of connection to screed ducts and the modular equipment the use remains flexible in the long term. Sockets such as British Standard, German/Austrian, Swiss, Belgian/French and US-American standard can be freely combined, different circuits can be spatially separated. As pure media tanks, we offer versions with hole patterns, for example for Neutrik D-Form. For underfloor heating systems we offer floor tanks with heating distributors or pre-equipped for this purpose. Our wide range of cable socket covers offers fixtures suitable for every installation scenario.
